Mosaic Meeting Information

 MONTHLY FRIDAY STUDY:

 

This Friday, October 20^th, we will be starting our new study by Tim Keller titled The Prodigal God.  The first session called The Parable covers Luke 15:1-3 and 11-32.  We will watch a video teaching then have small group discussion. 

 

The book and participant guide is available on many different websites like Amazon, Church Source, www.christianbook.com, www.usedthriftsbooks.com for under $10.  It is not necessary to have the book to join our study.   You can also download the audio versions on Hoopla for free.   

 

When: Friday, October 20^th          

 

Where: OHC lower room.  Take the steps at the far side of the main lobby and it’s the room straight across from the bottom of the staircase.

 

Time: 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Please remember to park in the lower back parking lot.  The NEW door code to enter is 2602#.

HOW TO CONNECT WITH US:

- The Orchard Hill Church website, www.orchardhillchurch.com has information about Mosaic and any of our events can be found on the website under the Events tab.

-  GroupMe App:  We have started a community platform called Single and Complete in Jesus as a forum to announce Christian singles events happening all over the Pittsburgh area.  This app is not connected with Orchard Hill Church, but Mosaic events will be posted on it as well as other local church’s singles events and social gatherings.  Its intention is to be more of a calendar page than a social discussion page.  If you’d like to be added to this, email Elaine at elaine.epp@verizon.net and how you would like your name to appear.  Parameters are the same for this group as Mosaic, Christian and single.  Please feel free to share this email with any Christian single you know that may be interested in joining us.  All are welcome!

Our mission statement: We are a group of 40+ Christian singles looking to live a God-centered, fulfilling life.  We are a community of believers that share a Christian worldview with a goal of encouraging one another in our walk of faith.

 

To quote Tony Evans, “A kingdom single is an unmarried Christian who is committed to fully and freely maximizing his or her completeness under the rule of God and the lordship of Jesus Christ.” As Mosaic continues to blossom and attract new members, we are praying to fulfill God’s purpose as a group and to honor Him in all we do.  We are striving to stand out in this culture, to be a light to each other and those who we come in contact with.  Mosaic is defining single as currently unmarried which does not include being separated or in the process of divorce.  If you are searching for a group to connect with and are not currently single, we would be happy to connect you with a group that fits your needs.

We are still finalizing the format, but we will have Bible Discussion once, on the 2nd Friday of the month, and will focus on specific one-time topics and some guest speakers plus some new elements. Hope you can join us!

Saturday Event - Picnic and Potluck and Firepit at the Craigs – Dale and Carol Craig have graciously opened their home to us on Saturday, September 30^th. We will gather around 4 p.m. Grills will be available if you would like to bring something to grill. Also, please bring a food or beverage to share, plus lawn chairs, and games. The address is 119 Jackson St.  Harmony PA 16037. Harmony is near Zelienople.
